About Us

“Creating Interesting Dinner Conversations Everywhere.” — Captain Merritt

The Corr Thieves began as an online web show and has evolved into a popular Renaissance Faire act. Our main stomping ground is the New Hampshire Renaissance Faire in Fremont, NH, but you might find us at other fairs as well. Check out our “Schedule” link at the top to see where we’ll be performing next, or just click HERE!

What do we do?!

We sing, we dance, we drink, we laugh, we cry, and more often than not, we rob you blind! Okay, maybe not literally. We’re an action-packed comedic extravaganza! Or perhaps a comedic act with loads of action? How about a comedic act with some fantastic action? WAIT! I’ve got it!

The Web Show

The web show chronicles the misadventures of thieves’ guild members and their friends. Set in the Corr Universe, it’s a nerdy endeavor that’s too embarrassing to delve into right now. But someday, we’ll have a webpage for it so you can laugh at us even more. Oh right, the show.

Originally, the show was serialized—no, not the kind you eat! Each episode led into the next. However, schedules, life, and budget constraints forced us to make changes. Life and schedules disrupted things again, so the show is undergoing more changes. But fear not, we fully intend to film again!

So, that’s who we are in a nutshell. If you want to know more about our characters, just scroll down. If you’re interested in having us perform at your fair, please use the “Contact” link. Use it for any questions, really.

The Corr Thieves Bios

Lord Jonathan Caspian:
The leader of the Corr Thieves. Lord Caspian has a short fuse when it comes to Garreth and Uther’s antics, but he knows their skills are invaluable. Though he won’t admit it, he enjoys the silliness as a break from the grind of masterminding a vast thieves’ guild that could take over the world.

Lord Aiden Fafnir:
A lower-level boss in the guild, Lord Fafnir is jealous of Lord Caspian and covets his position. However, Fafnir’s tendency to speak carelessly and be easily swayed is a flaw that Caspian, Garreth, and Uther exploit. Of noble blood, Fafnir is useful for his connections and wealth. Lord Caspian often puts Fafnir “in charge” of Garreth and Uther when he needs a break from them. Fafnir, too, has grown to enjoy their antics and frequently joins in.

Lady Gwyneth Fafnir:
Lady Gwyneth Fafnir is the true intellect behind the Fafnir duo, despite her efforts to let His Lordship believe otherwise. A loyal friend to Lady Odelina Frost, she barely tolerates Lord Frost. She harbors a soft spot for James, Uther, and Garreth—the Boys—and is generally a kind, refined, and non-violent lady… until she isn’t.

Garreth the Rogue:
He is very, very nice. You should trust him, but also convince yourself you never saw him—because he knows where you live. He’s standing behind me with a knife…

Uther Swordbreaker:
Uther began life as he lives it today: a walking contradiction. His father was a poet, his mother a warrior, giving him a confusing upbringing. When his family fell out of favor with their lords, they fled their home. Uther found his way to Baskall and became the strongman for Lord Aiden Fafnir. During a simple delivery, Uther met Garreth the Rogue, starting an uneasy (and somewhat unwanted) partnership. Now, under the distant but watchful eye of Lord Jonathan Caspian, Uther finds himself caught up in hijinks and weird adventures with Garreth and friends, whether he likes it or not.

Captain Avery T. Merritt:
Captain Merritt is renowned for his uncanny ability to drink any and all alcohol within reach. However, no matter how drunk he may seem, sobriety kicks in instantly when his or his crew’s lives are in danger. Only a fool threatens someone he cares about, as his pistol shot can shoot the wings off a fly, and his blade is said to be too fast to see.

James ‘The Giant’:
One day, James walked into a tavern, picked a fight, and left with more coin than he had when he entered. Recognizing his potential, Garreth and Uther invited him to join them on a job (getting the boss’s permission, of course). With nothing better to do and enjoying both the company and the chance to hit people, he decided to stick around.

Lord Cillian Frost
Having been wronged at the hands of Garreth years prior, Lord Frost joined the guild intending to conquer them from within. He figured with the magical powers of his wife, Odelina, at his side and his “expert” fighting skills, it would be an easy task. His over-ambition gets the better of him though, as the thieves goad him into wanting to prove himself in petty antics rather than following through on his grand plans. Somewhere between trying to earn respect amongst thieves and maintaining his nobility, he found respect isn’t granted. It’s earned…through many slaps.

Lady Odelina Frost
A very powerful sorceress whose spells ALWAYS work, Lady Odelina Frost can speak to animals, command the weather (unless the weather wants to rain and then she allows it), and can make her husband Lord Frost disappear with a powerful incantation, “Go and fold the garments! Help me clean the plates!” Warning: Do not try this spell at home! Very effective. Odelina and Lady Fafnir have a not-so-secret plan to one day take over the Corr Thieves in the name of strong women, and they shall spend all the thieves’ earnings at the pub, where they will sing and dance.

ARG! There are a bunch of thieves missing from this! Gotta catch’em all!
